Learner Case Study: Hine Henawairea

Hine Henawairea, a Diploma in Management Level 5 graduate, shares her experience on how studying with IMNZ has impacted her life.

Hine works for the Auckland City Council in Finance in the Strategic Portfolio and Programme Office. She originally started studying for her diploma through her previous employer ASB Bank.

ASB partnered with Te Puni Kōkiri, the Ministry of Māori Development, to create an accelerated programme, Whakaterehia, for existing talent with Māori ancestry within the ASB.

Motivated by her thirst for bettering herself, her desire to step-up and lead and the knowledge that change is inevitable, Hine grabbed the opportunity to be a life learner with both hands.

Hine says studying with IMNZ changed her life. It has given her a framework and the tools that she now uses daily to aim high and take charge of her career.

What she liked best about studying with IMNZ were the people. They were encouraging through-out the process and helped her get through some tough assignments.

Hine says she would highly recommend IMNZ to anyone who is ready to take the next step and to further develop themselves as a person and within their career.
